Most moms would frown at the thought of their son buying pornography, but if your son turned that interest into a career and published a book, aptly titled F**k Fashion – a collection of erotic female photography – wouldn’t you be proud? If, by chance your name is Vivienne Westwood, then your answer had better be “yes.”

Ben Westwood, Vivienne’s eldest son, despite his infamous background as a photo-pornographer, is now following his mother’s footsteps and launching a menswear collection that will debut this September during London Fashion Week. Though this is Ben’s first collection, he isn’t new to the industry; he previously worked five years in production for his mother and was raised around SEX (the boutique started by Vivienne and the Sex Pistols’ manager, Malcolm McLaren). The label can soon be found at A Child of the Jago in London, which is owned by Ben’s younger brother, Joe Corre, the founder of Agent Provocateur.

It may come as a surprise that Ben’s menswear collection mixes influences from American Western, military-wear, and British weather-wear; a far cry from the aesthetic he’s been surrounded by since a teenager. But don’t shy away from Ben’s collection if next season evolves into printed t-shirts of women posing in compromised positions. http://www.achildofthejago.com/
